Originally from Poland, Eugenie Baizerman was one of America's earliest Abstract Impressionists. Prior to immigrating to the United States in 1914, Baizerman's family lived in Bessarabia, a province of Russia, and in the city of Odessa in the Russian Ukraine.

Kate Barrett (1935- ) spent several decades as a professor and award-winning leader in the field of physical education. She is still active on the UNCG Board of Trustees and was responsible for securing many of the physical education and dance collections in the UNCG archives. The Kate Barrett Collection dates from 1911 to 1963 and contains manuscript notes, a book, and 17 pieces of dance music.

Alan Beeler (1939-2016) is remembered as a performer, educator, and a prolific composer. Acquired in November 2016, the Alan Beeler Collection contains over a hundred manuscript compositions and arrangements, in addition to other music for a variety of instrumentation.
