1949 Women in the Air Force (WAF) Photograph Album
This photograph album documents the early days of the Women in the Air Force Program including some of the earliest African American WAF. The photographs mostly document the trainees in San Antonio, Texas and Lackland Air Force Base and shows the women working and training around the base. There are also photographs of the women during their free time enjoying activities on and off base including trips to the Alamo, Riverwalk, and the Continental Divide.

Included is a copy of the 14 March 1944 Pill Pusher, the newspaper of the Stark General Army Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina.
