Anna Reid Jones graduated from the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina in 1947 with a degree in Music. She was a member of the Cornelian Society, the Town Students Organization, the Music Education Club, and the Orchestra.

Cornelia Jones was a student of the North Carolina College for Women, graduating in 1920 with a Bachelor degree in Music. She was a member of the Cornelian Society, the Chorus, and the Y.W.C.A. Choir.
