Scope and Contents

The Anna Reid Jones Scrapbook dates from 1940 to 1944. It is a black O-ring binder titled, MONITOR Loose Leaf Note Book. The scrapbook is indexed by Jones and chiefly contains class notes ranging from outlines and composer biographies to musical themes. It also contains many event programs from local concerts and other musical performances as well as newspaper clippings. The inside of the back cover is a class schedule chart filled-in by Jones.

Biographical or Historical Information

Anna Reid Jones of Greensboro, North Carolina was a student of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Jones graduated in 1947 with a degree in Music. She was also a member of varying student groups, including the Cornelian Society, the Town Students Organization, the Music Education Club, and the Orchestra.

Anna Reid Jones graduated from the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina in 1947 with a degree in Music. She was a member of the Cornelian Society, the Town Students Organization, the Music Education Club, and the Orchestra.

The Anna Reid Jones Scrapbook dates from 1940 to 1944 and contains chiefly class notes as well as event programs of local musical performances and newspaper clippings.
