Nicholas Anderson is remembered as a teacher and musician. The Nicholas Anderson Sheet Music and Personal Papers Collection reflects his career as a cellist, begining with his early studies with Leslie Parnas and Irving Klein, and including materials related to his career as a solist and working with the New York Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
The collection contains approximately 900 scores owned by Maurice Eisenberg. The collections includes many annotated pieces, including five pieces possibly annotated by Pablo Casals.
The Holograph Collection was started through the efforts of Dr. Ruth Hannas and George Henry, former members of the music faculty of the Woman's College (now UNCG).
The Holograph Collection consists of over 150 unpublished musical scores created by North Carolina composers during the mid-20th century.
