The first portion of the collection contains 92 scores published by Douglas B. Moore. These include Moore's original arrangements for multiple celli, his republished editions of historical dous, and two pieces for multiple violas. The second part of the collection contains various historic and rare cello pieces.

Abstract

Douglas B. Moore is a cellist, arranger, editor, conductor, and publisher. The Douglas B. Moore Musical Score Collection consists of his arrangements for multiple celli, published through his company, PlayMooreCello. Moore also has published nearly three dozen modern editions of late 18th century and early 19th century duos for violin and cello, most of which have never appeared since their first publication.

Accruals and Additions

Materials in Series 2 originally were donations made by Douglas B. Moore to the Willem Willeke Collection housed at the Chapin Library of Rare Books at Williams College. This material was not part of the original Willike Collection and was transferred to the UNCG Cello Music Collection in 2015.
