Professional Activities, Oversized, 1985-1993 and undated
The Professional Activities series consists of printed material such as flyers, newspaper articles, pamphlets, magazines, newsletters, publicity, as well as correspondence and other documents which are associated with her artwork, exhibitions, and commissioned work. Although Maud Gatewood had passed away in 2004, materials related to exhibitions of her work in the years following her death have also been included in this series up to 2007.

The Mary Lewis Harris Notebook is a sewing book that dates from 1893 to 1984. It contains sewing models and instructions with Harris's notations written on the versos and fabric samples mounted on the rectos.
Diploma, 1904
The Lettie Glass Scrapbook is a hand-assembled scrapbook bound with pink ribbon featuring a hand-painted floral design on its cover. It contains student photographs taken by L. Francis Hanes of the class of 1904 with handwritten captions for each. Of the 29 leaves, Lettie Glass's photograph is located on leaf number 20. Also included in the collection is Glass's diploma she had earned at the North Carolina State Normal and Industrial College in 1904.
