Abstract
George Dickieson of Winson-Salem, North Carolina, was hired as an instructor at the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now UNCG) in 1938 and retired after thirty-nine years in 1979. While at UNCG as a professor and conductor, he greatly influenced the School of Music to better develop the School and its programs to acheive national recognition and offer the best possible education for budding musicians.
