This collection contains both musical scores and the organizational records of the International Double Reed Society. The musical scores date from 1900 to 2004 and include both classical and modern composers.

The organizational records, which date from 1965 to 2005, include administrative files, bibliographies and discographies, catalogs, conference materials, correspondence, financial records, membership records, newsletters and publications. There are also a small number of media items, including a compact disc and 5 1/4 backup disks. Gaps exist in the organizational records, particularly in the financial records, membership records, and correspondence.
