Scope and Contents
This collection includes photographs of Walter Clinton Jackson, his parents, his children and family, faculty from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and teachers from the Greensboro High School. Papers and material in this box include letters written in 1903 by Walter Clinton Jackson to his wife Mattie, and letters written to Walter Clinton Jackson on the occasion of his appointment as Dean of Public Administration at Chapel Hill in 1932. There are course notes from a class that Jackson taught in 1921. Also included are several awards and diplomas in this collection, including Jackson's diploma from Mercer granted in 1926, and a posthumous inclusion into the North Carolina Educational Hall of Fame in 1965.
