Abstract
Walter Clinton Jackson (1879-1959) joined the faculty of the State Normal and Industrial College (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro) as professor and head of the Department of History in 1909. In 1934 Jackson was appointed Dean of Administration at the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro). In 1945 this title was changed to Chancellor and Vice President of the Consolidated University. He retired from the...

Abstract
These records (Boxes 1-24) are the official records of the Office of the Dean of Administration (1934-1945) and Chancellor (1945-1950) of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina. Boxes 26-27 contain material connected with the Citizens' Service Corps of World War II. Photographs, clippings, speeches, tributes to Jackson, and other biographical material relating to his work and life at UNCG are in box 25.
