The Professional Activities series consists of printed material such as flyers, newspaper articles, pamphlets, magazines, newsletters, publicity, as well as correspondence and other documents which are associated with her artwork, exhibitions, and commissioned work. Although Maud Gatewood had passed away in 2004, materials related to exhibitions of her work in the years following her death have also been included in this series up to 2007.

The Subject Files series consists of various remaining materials within the collection and is arranged alphabetically by topic. Many of the title headings of certain subject file are that which Gatewood had, herself, ascribed. This is the case with the following subject files: Course Documents, Mailing Lists, Miscellaneous, Paintings Sold, Prints Info and Documentation, Retrospective, Reviews, Somerhill Gallery, Studio, and Writings.
