Biographical / Historical

Ada M. Fisher was born in Durham, NC and is the youngest of six children of Reverend Dr. Miles M. Fisher and his wife, Ada. Fisher grew up in the parsonage of White Rock Baptist Church where her father was pastor. She received an undergraduate degree from UNC Greensboro and was instrumental in the founding of the Neo-Black Society at UNCG. She later received a PhD in Medicine, converted to Judaism, and has remained active in politics throughout her life. She has been a member and regular candidate of the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education as well as a Republican National Committeewoman.
