Biographical / Historical

Eula B. Alexander Grose (1891-1954) was a student at State Normal and Industrial College (now UNC Greensboro). She graduated in 1913 and taught at Greensboro High School (now Grimsley High School) before eventually moving to Stony Point, North Carolina to teach. Eula B. Alexander married Henry Spurgeon Grose in 1923 and they had two daughters. Eula's eldest daughter, Mary Jean Grose, established a needs-based scholarship, the J. Will Alexander Scholarship In Memory of Eula B. Alexander (Grose).
