Biographical or Historical Information
Nancy White was born on December 22nd, 1925 and passed away on June 4th, 2007. She was awarded a Ph.D in Child Development Family Relations(1961-1963) at Woman's College, one month before it became UNCG, and went on to serve a 38 year tenure in the Schools of Education and Human Environmental Sciences. She has received a number of distinguished alumni, teaching excellence and other similar awards fo her work in the field and served as chairperson for a committee cedited for making kindergarden a part of the public school system.

Abstract
A collection of various scrapbooks, photo albums, textiles, news clippings and letters from throughout the life of Dr. Nancy White, a long-time teacher and advisor at UNCG. Her work focused on early childhood and development and she was the recipient of the only Ph.D awarded within the Women's College history, the colligete precursor to UNCG.
Method of Acquisition
The various materials were donated by Tom Martin; a student and friend of Nancy White, in June, 2007.
