Margaret Winston Henry of Springdale, West Virginia, served in the United States Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) as a storekeeper during World War II. This collection includes 58 letters and one greeting card; dated May to December,1944.
They are love letters sent by Henry to Pharmacy Mate Dallas S. Chambers at the United States Public Health Service Hospital in Brooklyn,New York. The letters focus primarily on Henry's and Chambers' relationship but also discuss other WAVES, her work, and social life.
