Four pages of indexed play lists with corresponding page numbers, then the main body of the book consists of (verso) pages with space to comment on plays and actors, and (recto) pages for pasting programs.

The first entry is dated 7 December 1914, and the final entry dates 12 February 1916. From pages 51-186, clippings from programs and playbills are placed loosely between the pages.

Theatres attended by the author include: Sheboygan Opera House (WI); Pabst Theatre (Milwaukee, WI); Jefferson (St. Augustine, FL); Forrest (Philadelphia, PA); New National (Washington, DC); and Lyceum (Rochester, NY).
