He discusses spending a semester at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro and being a student at UNCG at the same time as his daughter. Subjects: Taking graduate courses in the evening , the mentor system on campus, his favorite faculty members (Roland Nelson and Joseph Himes), the Center for Creative Leadership.

Sampson Buie, Jr. (1929- ) received his master's of education degree in educational administration in 1973 and his doctorate in education in 1982 from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).
