Scope and Contents
The Rachel Ann Brune Papers contain information covering her enlistment in the U. S. Army after the events of 11 September, 2001 and her career as a journalist and military police officer (MP) spanning the years of 2002-2010. The majority of the material spans the years 2002 to 2006 when she served as a journalist, editor, and photographer for military publications. Collection includes clippings of articles and photographs from military and civilian publications from 2003 -2006, personal correspondence from 2002-2010, publications in which her articles appeared, notebooks concerning her career as a journalist and MP officer, a compact disc of photographs taken while deployed, a book of poetry and reminiscences, an oral history, and artifacts.
