Scope and Contents
Travel diary of Sara F. Hodges which starts during the author's stay in Constantinople, Turkey. Hodges spends time in Rome before going back to the United States. Entries describe activites at home (New York) and visiting acquaintnes in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The diary also includes entries describing the death of Hodges' mother.
During World War I, Hodges volunteers as a Red Cross nurse where she attends and provides lectures on surgical dressing, drives an ambulance, attends Red Cross committee meetings, works in hosptials to name a few responsitilies mentioned.
