Effectiveness of Teaching, 1992-1993
Scope and Contents
The Office of the Vice Provost for Academic and Enrollment Services Records consists primarily of reports, correspondence, memos, and other papers.
Included are correspondence, statistical reports, and a draft report of an admissions study conducted in 1975. The study was undertaken as a result of discussions of the Admission Policies Committee and in response to subsequent concerns about enrollment pressures. The draft report was titled "Undergrade Admissions to UNC-G: A Review of Recent Policies and Data" and was written by Herbert Wells in October 1975.
In 2009, the duties of the Associate Provost for Enrollment Services were added to the position. See UA 20.4 (Office of the Associate Provost for Enrollment Services Records) for more records related to this role.
These papers reflect the increased administrative responsibilities of the Office of Academic Affairs, especially as a result of federal laws and mandates of the 1970s.
