The Roch C. Smith Papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts and drafts, photographs, and interviews on both cassette and VHS tapes. The audiovisual materials focus on Smith's writings and scholarly work about the French author and filmmaker Alain Robbe-Grillet, particularly his work with co-author Anthony Fragola, The Erotic Dream Machine. The audiovisual materials also include interviews with Robbe-Grillet.
