This scrapbook, created by members of the Sophomore Class Dance Committee at Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro), contains materials relating to the Sophomore Class formal dance, "La Mer Bleue," held on November 1, 1952 in Coleman Gymnasium. The scrapbook contains a dance card/program, newspaper clippings, an invitation, some ribbon, an orchestra contract, and dance committee reports detailing committee duties and financial expenditures. The dance's theme song was "How Deep is the Ocean," and the scrapbook is decorated with cut-out construction paper reflecting this theme.
