Scope and Contents

This scrapbook, created by student members of the Young Women’s Christian Association, contains materials relating to the 1934-1935 school year at Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The scrapbook contains a booklet titled “Blue Back Primer for Bright Budding Beginners," which includes lyrics for the College Song, the Old North State Song, the Y Song, the Class Song of 1934, and tips for freshmen students. The scrapbook also includes information about the YWCA, photographs of attendees at the YWCA conference at Black Mountain, North Carolina; and programs for the Sedalia Singers of the Palmer Memorial Institute and the Lantern Festival.
