Scope and Contents

This scrapbook, created by representatives of the Wesley Foundation, contains materials relating to the 1939-1940 school year at Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Items in the scrapbook include Christmas cards, registration cards, Evening Worship and Vespers programs, the book “Noah’s Ark” by Dorothy Bell Briggs, correspondence related to the Wesley Players, correspondence and fliers related to costume and music rental, plays, and stage make-up; newspaper clippings discussing Wesley Players productions, officers, and initiates; Wesley Players Creed; and “The Eye” newsletter. The scrapbook also includes copies of “The Footlight: A Magazine of Religious Drama” from fall 1939, mid-winter 1940, and spring 1940.
