Scope and Contents

This scrapbook, created by residents of Shaw Hall, contains materials relating to the 1956-1957 school year at Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Scrapbook contents include a list of student residents and their home addresses, a Shaw Residence Hall prophecy, and lyrics for “Shaw Song," “Sister Song," “College Song," and “Songs for a Dorm Sing." Photographs document events, groups, and individual students, including Bettye Tillman, one of the early African American students. This scrapbook is dedicated to Celeste Ulrich.
