Content Description
This collection includes 77 broadsides of poetry and prose by various authors collected by UNCG professor and poet Emilia Phillips. Each broadside contains a poem or excerpt, the poet's name, and a colophon describing printing information. There are various printmaking processes used, including digital, letterpress, and relief printing. Papers used include both handmade and machine-made. The broadsides were collected between 2009 and 2020, though some are undated.

Physical Description
Above the title are waves in the style of the Japanese woodblock print The Great Wave of Kanagawa. Below the title and enclosed in a mason jar with two silverfish is the text of the poem. A two story house sits below the poem in the jar. Digitally printed on machine-made paper.

Broadside commemorates Patricia Smith's reading as part of Poetry Night at Grand Valley State University on October 1, 2009. Design and illustration by W. Todd Kaneko. The poem appears in her book Blood Dazzler.
