Betty Ann Jarvis was a student of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina, graduating in 1954 with a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics. Among her college activities were the Home Economics Club, Recreation Association, and Tap Dance Club.

The Betty Ann Jarvis Notebook is a brown tabbed notebook from 1951 containing pressed leaves and descriptions for a Biology course instructed by Jane C. Frost at the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina.
