She attended Carleton College, where she received her B.A. degree in Philosophy and went on to Columbia University, where she received her M.A. degree in Economics. Abstract Michael Fleming Parker was a professor in the MFA Creative Writing program at UNCG from 1992-2019. He received his Bachelor of Arts from UNC Chapel Hill in 1984 and his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Virginia in 1988.
