Abstract

Steve Almond (1967- ) received his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from UNCG in 1997. Almond is the winner of the 2002 Pushcart Prize and the 2005 Alex Award (Young Adult Library Service Association). This collection includes manuscripts of Almond's published short stories, essays, and monographs, as well as several unpublished works.

Tim Sandlin was born in Oklahoma in 1950. He attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to receive his M.F.A. in Creative Writing. He is an American novelist and screenwriter, and he has published 10 novels and a book of columns.

Dr. Mark Smith-Soto is Professor Emeritus of Romance Languages (Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures) at UNCG Greensboro. Dr. Smith-Soto also served as editor/poetry editor of International Poetry Review from 1991 to 2022, and as director of the Center for Creative Writing in the Arts from 2005 to 2015.
