Content Description

The Patty Provins Gillespie Papers include two scrapbooks and various artifacts from her time as a student at Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now UNC Greensboro). Items include newspaper clippings, photographs, Woman's College handbook, residence hall cues, theater programs, commencement programs, dolphin seal club brochure, freshman book list, PE papers, Major Voice papers, sheet music, a musical script, and a woman's college bulletin.

Gregory Ivy (1904-1985) was chairman of the art department at Woman's College (now UNCG) from 1935 to 1961. The Gregory Ivy Papers date from 1910 to 1999 and contain correspondence, photographs, publications, and clippings.

Allen W. Trelease Papers

Abstract

Dr. Allen W. Trelease (1928-2011) was an emeritus professor of history at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. He came to UNCG in 1967 and served for 27 years until his retirement in 1994.

The Allen Trelease Papers date from the 1980s to 2005. It contains photographs, research materials, and manuscripts of two books he authored on the history of UNCG.
