The Women's and Gender Studies Program at UNCG is one of the oldest in the country and is an interdisciplinary program founded in 1972.
The records of the Women's and Gender Studies Program include annual reports, memoranda, letters, email correspondence, committee meeting minutes, newsletters, and resolutions documenting the activities of the program from 1970-2009.
Women's Professional Forum Records
The Women's Professional Forum began in 1977 by a small group of professional women who were looking for a sense of friendship, community, and support from like-minded women. WPF members are women who serve their community in leadership roles and who enjoy sharing their talents and experiences.
World War I Officer's Diary
Unknown officer's diary of the Western Front in France during World War I. The bound diary traces the events of April 1918 to April 1919. The officer describes events such as deploying from Camp Merritt in New Jersey, USA, sailing to Liverpool, England, UK, and eventually being stationed in various locations in the UK and France. Of particular significance is the officer's account of the events of November 11, 1918, when a cease fire was declared and the war was over.
