Abstract Amy Marie Charles was a professor of English literature at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1956 until 1984. In addition, she authored a biography of the seventeenth-century English poet George Herbert (Cornell University Press, 1977). This collection consists of documentary material collected by Dr. Charles for her study of Herbert's life.
