This collection consists of a book titled "A Movement Approach to Educational Gymnastics" and two smaller books titled "Educational Gymnastics" and "Educational Gymnastics for Secondary Schools", all three of which were written by Ruth Morison.

"A Movement Approach to Educational Gymnastics" was intended to act as a textbook for students as well as an aid to those interested in the teaching of Physical Education as it was taught in British Schools. The book covers various physical education topics, such as locomotion and balance, as well as lesson plans for teaching.

"Educational Gymnastics" and "Educational Gymnastics for Secondary Schools" contains educational materials regarding gymnastics and covers several gymnastic topics such as body management, movement, and space.

Biographical / Historical

Dr. Ruth Morison was a Physical Education educator at I.M. Marsh College of Physical Education in Liverpool, England. Her primary research and writing pursuits were related to Educational Gymnastics. She was internationally known for her work in this field.
