Biographical or Historical Information
In 1995, the Communication and Theatre Department was divided into two units: A Department of Communication and a Department of Broadcasting/Cinema and Theatre. During Spring Semester 1999, it was decided that the Broadcasting/Cinema and Theatre units would separate and become two independent departments effective August 1, 2000. The latest entity is the Department of Media Studies which offers a B.A. in Media Studies and a M.F.A. in Drama (Concentration in Film and Video Production).
