The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) was founded in 1893 by Hannah Greenebaum Solomon, a Jewish activist from Chicago. The Greensboro Section was formed in 1919 with Mrs. C.L. Weill as president.

National Negro Health Week was initiated in 1915 to address concerns for African American health.

John "Jack" R. Nowlin Collection
This collection includes correspondence from Private Jack Nowlin to his mother from 1942 to 1945. Earlier letters identify his location as Chicago and some of the later letters mention being stationed in England. The letter dated August 18, 1942 mentions that he is preparing the barracks for the arrival of the WAACs to Fort Des Moines and includes a newspaper clipping about the WAAC barracks.

Dr. David Olson is a professor emeritus in the Department of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a teacher and political scientist, Olson focuses on the study of comparative legislatures and democratization. This collection, compiled by Dr. David Olson, documents political campaigns, both in the United States and on a global level, from the early nineteenth century to the most recent American presidential election in 2012.
Annie Furman Parham Collection
Annie Furman Parham graduated from The College for Women at Greensboro in 1942. That same year, she was hired as a clerk for the Guilford County Board of Commissioners. She was an Assistant County Manager when she retired in 1991.
The 1937 Insurance Survey for Guilford County Board of Commissioners that was donated by her and contains the insurance value of schools and building in Guilford County during that time.
