The Aycock Ad Hoc Committee Records, 2015, contains the working files of the committee formed in the Spring of 2015 to review and respond to the statewide concern surrounding buildings named in honor of former Governor Charles B. Aycock (1859-1912). These files include an archive of the public website, meeting agendas and minutes, survey feedback, audio recordings of public forums, and the final report of the committee.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains the official records of various University level committees that were established in the course of university operations. The scope of the collection is broad and covers a vast number of subjects including intercollegiate athletics, Fiftieth Anniversary planning, and faculty affairs. The records are primary correspondence and memorandums, but also include meeting minutes, agendas, and occasionally photographs.

The University Planning Council is the one continuing, institution-wide body dealing with institutional planning at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This Council, made up of ex-officio members and members chosen for specified terms makes recommendations to the chancellor.
