Scope and Contents

This scrapbook, created by representatives of the Wesley Foundation, contains materials relating to the 1939-1940 and 1940-1941 school years at Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). The scrapbook includes programs from Worship Services, Sunday Services, International Week-End 1940, University Sermons, Religious Emphasis Week, the Wesley Players banquet, and the Youth Crusade to keep America out of World War II. The scrapbook also contains a 1939-1940 calendar of events, an organizational budget, a telegram, “The Eye” newsletter, attendance cards, Wesley Council pledge cards, a copy of the Class of 1941 poem, Sunday Service announcements, a flier and poster for Religious Emphasis Week, held during October 22-27, 1939; a sign-up sheet for International Week-End 1940; and a banquet invitation for the Sigma Chapter of the Wesley Players.
