Scope and Contents

This scrapbook, created by residents of Jamison Hall, contains materials relating to the 1960-1961 school year at Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Photographs depict student life, groups of students, and individual residents. The scrapbook contains programs for several events: Freshman Talent Show, “Rats on Parade," Dolphin-Seal pageant, “Periodical Parade," Dance Club’s “New York or Bust," and freshman formal “Grecian Holiday." Other items include: Rat Day “Instructions," newspaper clippings regarding Rat Day, student life, Commercial Department students, the Dolphin-Seal pageant, and dances; a student calendar; Jamison Hall student roll; a “Letter to Santa”; the “Last Will and Testament of the Jamison Girls, 1960-1961”; and an autograph page.
