[Cotten Hall Scrapbook], 1963 - 1964
Scope and Contents
This scrapbook, created by residents of Cotten Hall, contains materials relating to the 1963-1964 school year at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The scrapbook contains photographs depicting individual residents and residence hall life. Other contents include the sister class party program, a newspaper clipping and program regarding Consolidated University Day, an invitation to the annual Elliott Hall Ball, the Class of 1966 fight song lyrics, a notice for Jester Day, a list of attendees at the “Old Cotten Girls” party, noted with class years; a wedding invitation for Marlene Marie Whitley; a flier promoting “Elissa Joyner for Class Cheerleader of '67”; a piece by Caroline Horton titled “Original Ghost Story"; and pages from a calendar of events for December 1963, February 1964, March 1964, and April 1964. The scrapbook also includes an undated letter on UNCG stationary addressed to Cotten Hall, announcing the death of President Kennedy, as well as a program for "A Tribute to the Late President, John F. Kennedy."
