Scope and Contents
This collection includes materials relating to the practices and history of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Greensboro between the years of 1918-1993; yearbooks, scrapbooks, official documents and papers, local correspondence, as well as correspondence at the local, state, national, and interenational levels between chapters of the club make up the bulk of Series 1 in the collection. Series 2 consists more of official information regarding the club on the state level, including North Carolina annual reports, by-laws, handbooks, official brochures, and copies of Tar Heel Woman magazine, published by the Business and Professional Women's Club of North Carolina. Series 3 consists of official materials pertaining to the club on a national level, including an official expansion kit, Revitilization and Growth Program materials, resource manuals, guidelines, brochures, a book of the official national history of the club through 1945, and early copies of Independent Woman magazine, the official magazine of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs.
