Abstract Clara Booth Byrd was an alumna of the State Normal and Industrial College (now UNCG) and spent several decades working on behalf of the Alumnae Association, eventually serving as director of the Alumnae House. Abstract This collection contains the personal papers and official records of Julius Isaac Foust (1865-1946), second president of the North Carolina State Normal and Industrial College now known as The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Taking up leadership of the school after the untimely death of founding president Charles Duncan McIver in 1906, Foust became the acting president for the year following his colleague's death. Foust served as the official president until his retirement in 1934.
