Abstract
Steve Almond (1967- ) received his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from UNCG in 1997. Almond is the winner of the 2002 Pushcart Prize and the 2005 Alex Award (Young Adult Library Service Association). This collection includes manuscripts of Almond's published short stories, essays, and monographs, as well as several unpublished works.

Isabel Ann Eggers was born to Herman Eggers and Elizabeth Pennington Eggers on July 28, 1932. Her father worked at Appalachian State University from 1929 to 1965. Her younger sister Elizabeth was born around 1936. She married Richard Zuber, a professor of history at Wake Forest University, on August 29, 1954.
